Welcome to Restaurante Punta de Jandía, a hidden gem located at the southern tip of Fuerteventura, just off Av. del Puertito, in Las Palmas, Spain. Often described as an oasis in a relatively untouched part of the island, this restaurant may catch unsuspecting visitors off guard with its unassuming exterior and laid-back ambiance. However, those willing to venture here will be rewarded with an authentic taste of the sea that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Here, the daily offerings reflect the spirit of local cuisine, prominently featuring the catch of the day. As Milan “t4c” Berger highlights, the fish served at Punta de Jandía is not just any meal; it’s an experience. The tenderness and texture resonate with the ocean’s essence, especially when paired with their signature local crumbled potatoes and a refreshing salad. Diners can choose between a single serving of the fish of the day or opt for the delectable fish plate, ensuring a satisfying and generous seafood experience.
Adding depth to the dining experience, customers rave about the Malvasia Volcanica wine, which perfectly complements the freshness of the seafood. As Jasmina Terlikar mentions, the combination of good food and great staff creates an inviting atmosphere despite the initial modest impression.
One of the unique attributes of Punta de Jandía is its authentic representation of Fuerteventura's cultural identity. The staff may not be fluent in English, as noted by Paweł P, but that merely adds a layer of charm and encourages a more intimate culinary interaction, one where you may find yourself practicing your Spanish while enjoying delightful tapas. It’s more than just a meal; it’s a beautiful blend of transitions between language and palates.
For a reasonable €18, Bryan Hall enjoyed a set meal that included a fresh tomato salad and impeccably cooked fish, topped off with a glass of wine. He described the fish as crispy-skinned and easy to fillet, perfectly embodying the concept of a simple yet exquisite dining experience. This offering is emblematic of what Punta de Jandía stands for—fine dining through the lens of local authenticity.
Overall, Restaurante Punta de Jandía invites you to disconnect from the bustling tourist traps and connect with the true essence of Fuerteventura’s culinary heritage. Whether you’re stopping in on a whim while exploring the island or seeking an intentional dining experience, this restaurant promises a plateful of memories awaiting to be savored.

At the end of the Island directly after the trailer park you will find the Restaurant Punta de Jandia. It does not look very welcoming, nor does the staff, but this is Fuerteventura on its real side. Sit down and enjoy one of the best fish ever. We would appreciate the Fish of the day if you want a single fish or the fish plate which offers the Fish of the day and another smaller fish. Fish is served with local crumbled potatoes and some salat.

Stuff does not know english even a little bit, but you can talk to them in spanish ;-) It was really hard for me, but I managed to order a beer (small one for 2,50 euro - I was ordering if it was special price for tourists). On the other hand, they have very good tapas - I think it is worth giving a try while being on a tour.

Really enjoyed being able to eat a great meal so close to the extreme south of the island of Fuerteventura. We had the set meal for €18 which included a tomato salad and fish of the day main meal and a glass of wine. Fish was lovely with crispy skin and easy to fillet - as it should be.

Small place in this little town. Magic atmosphere, not crowded with delicious fresh fish. Service was informal and very welcoming. Expect to be called "chicos" <3
